2. Other music magazines the publisher carries that target different audiences
There are only two music magazines the publisher carries and those are Kerrang! magazine and Q magazine. They are both aimed at a younger audience of around teenagers.
3. Latest audience data for Kerrang! magazine
Overall there are 421,000 readers of Kerrang! magazine. Around half of these are middle class (218,000 readers) and the other half being working class (203,000 readers). This shows that there is a wide range of people from different classes that read the magazine whereas magazines such as Q have a much more middle class based readership. There are mainly 15-44 year olds that read this magazine as there is 389,000 readers in this age group, and there are only 32,000 readers which are 45+. This shows that the magazine appeals mainly to younger people. There is a large gap between the amount of readers when it comes to gender also. The magazine has a large male based readership as there are 258,000 out of the 421,000 readers of the magazine, and only 164,000 female readers.
4. Percentage increase/decrease of readership
Since last year there has been a 0.96% increase in readership (almost 1%), which is around 4000 readers over the year, which isn’t a lot.
